Well it looks like I will miss this rendezvous this year. Thought I had this cancer beat, but after my last chemo session April 5th, a PET scan and Dr consultation he didn't like the results. I started another regiment of chemo at the Mayo Clinic this week Wednesday and Thursday. This will go on until the middle of June . After that. I will get set up to have a bone marrow transplant. Which means 3 weeks in the hospital, then 2 weeks of home nursing to make sure I don't get sick.
On top of that, mom had a stroke at the end of Dec so I'm pretty much a 24-7 caregiver to her. It's hard for me to take 1 day off let alone a weekend. Thank God my cousin helps me out taking care of her when I have errands to do and she will stay with her while I'm in the hospital.
I will miss everyone. Hope you have a great time. Hopefully I will make it to the new meeting place next year.
