Fwiw, the heaviest common bullet in .300 SAV (and generally for the .308WCF, too) is the 180 grain JSP. = The FEDERAL loading is advertised as SLIGHTLY "hotter" than other usual "off the shelf" brands.

Note: "experts" say that the .300 SAV simply doesn't have the "case volume" to handle the 200-250 grain bullets successfully, that some .30-06 rifles will handle.
(SOME rifles will accurately/safely shoot a 250 grain bullet & those hand-loads are fully equal to the .318 Westley-Richards caliber that is "well-liked" for most "non-dangerous" African game.)
