Is pretty bad around the United Center. A ahort trip over is a cool pub w music called the Bottom Lounge. You definitely want to take a certain route to places. Avoid stopsigns/lights in some places. Bouncer told me two yrs before ( this 2016 ) he wouldn't ever go to that area.....but amazing clean up. Note: couple blocks east it was a chithole.....and then got good again. You best know literally what blocks are safe. Never go to Chicago alone. Drive w doors locked....windows up and passenger w gun. Legal. Even in Indianapolis......blow the sign or roll through if need be. There be wolves about looking for easy prey. They will steer clear of you if you look like youre paying attention.
