I've said all this before, but will repeat:

Some say you don't need much magnification on a .22 because the range is relatively short. I contend that the targets are often small even though the range is short.

High magnification at closer ranges can give you parallax issues, thus the need for adjustable objective.

.22 rifles tend to be small, e.g. the 10/22.
Two good bolt .22 rifles are the Ruger 77/22 and the various CZ offerings. Bolt have ocular (eyepiece) bolt clearance issues.
The small size, small ocular Leupold works well with the size and clearance issues I mention.
