I'd try a little farther north, a trip down the North fork of the Flathead from Polebridge would be a trip of a life time. Do a little research. The Clarkfork around Missoula gets hammered. The Clark fork around Thompson falls is great fishing, but a mild boat ride on flat water but killer fishing.
