Shopping and restaurants in Missoula should be fine for your purposes. Mustard Seed for Chinese. Clarks Fork especially west of Missoula can be very good. East of Missoula it is better than folks think..hard to fish but can be surprisingly good.If you get as far down as Warm Springs there are some really nice Browns in there.....
