He had several favorites. An octagon barrelled B78 25-06, a model 88 7–08 with a full length stock built by Joe Balickie, his 98 Mauser 280 Remington also done by Balickie, that Sako 308. And as I recall the factory wood stocked M7 struck his fancy as well.

Anybody who seriously concerns themselves with the adequacy of a Big 7mm for anything we hunt here short of brown bear, is a dufus. They are mostly making shidt up. Crunch! Nite-nite!
