A properly mounted quality scope in lapped rings will take a ton of abuse. My farm rifle is a rugar boat paddle 223.. Rugar rings and a Nikon camo 3 x9.. I haven't turned a dial on that rifle in 15 years..it rides in the combine tractors and truck seat every day of its life...
