Geeezzz!! How far did you have to float with that load? The most cargo I ever floated was two Mallards and 5 Red squirrels.
About 50 miles, thankfully the river calmed a bit toward the end where it flowed out of the mountains and into some tundra flats before it hit the Yukon. Both the grey and blue yaks were loaded equally. We were set up for 17 days on supplies so we were heavy from the start but heavier after the caribou went on board.
Those are like 10.8 Dagger Bayou lake boats. Never kayaked prior to that...
