Yep. Why fupgk-around when you can get the 84L in 280AI and have plenty of mag space for 150/160 class bullets, a 24" barrel, and plenty of extra horsepower.

I didn’t have enough mag space or ejection port for 150/160 class bullets.
Holston, my .280 AI gets 3050 fps with RL26 and the 260 Accubond.
You only limitation I would be wary of is the 180ELD or VLD with the 1 in 9 twist.
I just followed nyrifleman's load development work, and no problem slinging 160AB (not 260
) from the standard mag.
