Glad you got it all worked out. Funny I’m sure the dealership would’ve just charged you for another cap.
This is exactly why I do my own oil changes on my new truck even though I can get them from the dealership.
Used to have a buddy who worked for a quick lube shop. His stories is another reason I do my own oil changes.
