I lived in North Pole for awhile when we were stationed at Eielson. The coldest day I remember was -63F. To the best of my memory this was in Jan or Feb 1979. -50 to -55 was pretty common during the winter.
My biggest fear is when I die my wife will sell my guns for what I told her they cost.
