I'm in western Washington where it rains more often than not. I have a safe in my detached garage. No dehumidifier for , six years, and zero rust. I always intended to get a Golden rod but never did, and I'm now beginning to realize I simply don't need one. I'm careful to wipe down guns before I put them back in the safe, if I've had them out in the rain. But other than that I don't do anything special.
