Any legitimate opinion on this has to make a choice or two. The only things that will solve this fighting that's been going on for hundreds of years are genocide, or for the US to remain there indefinitely....as in, forever. If you suppose that it is our responsibility to fix that region, take your pick. But don't pretend that there is a way to fix it cleanly and permanently, and then leave. That's an opinion based on fantasy.
