My hunting bud perfected killing hogs in a trap. He takes his .17 HMR, shooting FMJ bullets. Slips up on the trap and while they're looking, before they start running around, he shoots them between the eyes, selecting an opening thru the wire panel. He draws an imaginary line between their eyes, goes an inch above at mid line. They drop without blood or running around, eyes popped out on a stem. Weird looking. He takes his time, kills the next one. It's about the slickest way to clear a trap without a lot of blood and confusion.

I've just put together a M-70 .416 Rem rifle for him to take buff hunting next year in Africa. I loaded some "bunny" loads to practice with on WT's and hogs. It a soft 350 gr. Speer over enough 4064 to get up to around 2,250 fps. Not that unpleasant, but does pack a punch. I'm sure that one would kill a hog or two, maybe even a WT.
