I'm in the "Try a variety of factory ammo until you find something your rifle really likes" camp. Then buy a case (or two) of it... I feed three different .270's that all like the factory Nosler Trophy Grade 130gr AB load. So, I poke around until Nosler or SPS runs a deal on that load, and then buy a case of it. I have a life time supply of .270 reloading components to tinker with. But, it helps to have one "go to load" if you don't happen to have home grown loads ready to shoot...

There are sufficient goodly number of factory 6.5 CM offerings these days that you should be able to find something that works acceptably in your rifle.
