Brand new Leupold VX3i 30mm 4.5-14x40 CDS mounted in Talleys.
Went back to the range and shot the 3 new boxes I mentioned above, plus some Barnes Vortex 127 LRX.
Still can’t get it to stay under an inch.
Being in the Houston area I have to let the barrel cool after two shots from a standard round, 1 after shooting a pencil barreled magnum.
I’m sure there’s a few times I’m not waiting long enough, but I was at the range for over 3 hours this morning.
Potential problem right there.
I much prefer to test all new to me rifles with a proven scope.
