Good job dad. I don't have a 7-08, I have a 7x57 instead. But unlike a lot of older ones mine is on a strong 98 action. I just had it built so haven't hunted with it. I think I'm going to go with a 140grainSGK. I think I can get over 2800 FPS out of it. I'll be hunting white tail and hogs so it should be good.
I see you're from NW Louisiana. Are you close to Atlanta TX? I was born there and still have family there. It's about 50 miles from Shreveport.

Not too far away, I lived in Minden for 15yrs and now living close to Ruston. I work over in Shreveport and travel up to Texarkana a decent amount.
