Probably my favorite place to hunt. There’s enough free ranging exotics that you never know what your going to see but there’s very little public land in that part of the state. The only I know of is some further west near San Angelo and then a small bow only place near kerrville. Everything else around there is going to be private land
Lots of day hunt places and leases. A bare bones lease will run a couple thousand a year for a spot on a small place. If your only going to hunt a weekend or two a year then day hunting is probably the way to go
