My loaded rounds are right at 3.00", leaving me a quarter inch of leeway.

Quick question. I've installed a spacer in the mag box and I'm still struggling to get my LA 6.5 PRC to feed. Did you install a different follower spring after you shortened the follower or use a different spring? If you used a different spring what type did you use?
Watched your video, nice job....slick feeding!

Thanks......

I just used the original spring, but I may have switched around, as the long side was hanging over the back of the follower.

The 1st thing I do to any action, is polish/round off the edges of the feed rails. No more scratched brass, and the rounds make a slicker transition out of the mag box. I generally polish the feed ramp a bit with a Dremel as well. These 2 tricks are the start to better feeding.

After that, you have to address what exactly is going wrong. Some setups, you can't dilly dally working the bolt, you just have to go faster for more consistent feeding, as in 30-30 lever actions......
