As a Catholic , I just take it in context . I don't subscribe to it.
Our Parrish is a small, rural community, the homily( serman) is always about following Jesus and not our own corrupt thoughts.
Myself, I don't believe anti or pro Trump info , rubber stamped by any from any media source, if it comes out of a human being it has been corrupted.
That is why Catholics, Protestants, Baptists etc pray.
The real message comes through the Holy Spirit.
