Some interesting posts here and am interested in the posts. Here is why. Wisconsin ended its muzzleloader season yesterday so I emptied my TC Hawken with my new Green Mountain Barrel. With 50 gr. of 2f after it sat for a week, it did not go off. The #11 cap did but the Old Eyendford #2F did not . It did however go off the second time. It was 12 degrees at the time and sat in my garage cause I didn't want to bring it inside and have it absorb moisture. I want to go to 3F for now on. I only use about 45 gr of Goex F3 cause my new Green Mountain cuts into the patch after about 50gr of Goex. I also noticed Old Eyensford is cleaner than Goex, at least the patches dont seem as gunked up. I think the Green Mountain rifling is cutting the patches cause my TC barrel didn't do that.
