A .30-06 is all most people need. Alway figured that was a good reason as any not to get one.
Now I have 3, down from 5. Basically traded them for something else, new and more fun.
The .338 Fed is a great little cartridge. While lots of people pooh-poohed it when it came out, it is a nice thumper. While no cartridge is a brush-buster, a heavier bullet should deflect less, other variable kept constant, but don't count on it to save your shot.
