an even heat test can be done with flour if you’re bored.
I got bored one time 😜. all my cast heats pretty even, some just take longer to get there.My griswold that was made sometime before 1920 is the quickest to get up to heat evenly. Griswold made enameled stuff as well, if you can find it not chipped up. It’ll run you as much or more than LC though.
