Looks like it no not 9 inches but 0.90 inch @ 200 out of my 25 with the 117sst at 3,370 fps fraction smaller with ttsx and 115 nosler combined technology ballistic tip. Last deer I shot with the sat at 250yards in the neck. Easy to remove the head no spine left. Only problem the meat was bruised down to the shoulder. Me thinks a bit to much oomph but dead is dead. Shot on in the shoulder with a 100gn Speer stuffed both shoulders. When I skun it the offside leg and shoulder came off with the hide.
My 35 Whelan might do less damage. Ha ha
