I admit, I never heard of him until here just now. I read a few Zane Grey, and an awful lot of Louis LaMore while I was in school. Quite a few novels, Mitchner, Tom Clancy, Stephen King too.
As I got older, I find myself reading historical non fiction almost exclusively. Campaign studies and biographies mostly. I find that the twist and turns that fate deals out to soldiers and leaders is often more interesting than most novels! shocked
