I had one of the "strike" Python's made by temp labor in the early 80's. Could never keep it timed with magnum loads. I was so disgusted with it, I traded it for a 66 and a hundred bucks. That and a Colt 1911 that barely ran with ball in the same time frame kept me from Colt since then.

This year against my better judgement I purchased a Colt Custom Shop Commander Rail Gun. Its extremely well done and runs like a top. If I didn't just buy a S&W L Comp, I'd be looking real hard at this. Colt has to know this is going to be a sink or swim item for them and I'd bet they are going to do their best not to sell a piece of high priced mediocroity.
