i built a 25 Creedmoor this summer and have used the 131 gr. blackjack bullets ,i have a match grade 7 1/2 twist # 7 Brux barrel on my rifle i have not been able to get them to shoot consistent at 100yards but the Nosler 115 gr. B.T.`s shoot a 5 shot hole all day long at 100 yards. i do plan on moving to 200 and 300 yards next with both of these bullets soon. maybe the 131 gr. bullet is better farther out it is a very long bullet so maybe 131 gr, bullet will stabilize then better ? speed for accuracy is not everything my 6BR Norma will prove that at about 2700 FPS with a 107 gr bullet at 500 yards for group size and no recoil.
Hmmm...not what I was hoping to hear. Haven’t seen a bullet shoot “better” after not shooting well at 100 yards personally, but maybe that’s just me. Sorry to hear about your struggles bud.
Tried a variety of powders I assume?
Damnit anyway...this is honestly the first report I’ve read about that bullet not shooting. From a long-range perspective, I’m kind of “all in” on that bullet at this point. I’ll slum 115 BTs if it comes to that,..... but that’s a pretty big concession imho.
Let me know if things get better if you would. I’ll keep everyone posted on how my attempts come together.
