The .284 was my first real deer rifle. I bought it in 1967 about the same time I started reloading rifle cartridges and IMR-4350 and 130 gr. Speer bullets were used in it. Killed my first deer with it a year later, one 315 yards, the other 298 yards. Furthest I've killed deer since then has been 125 yards. wink
