Accubond will likely give better chance of an exit wound. They fragment some but the butt end tends to hold together and keep punching through. At 500 yards, you might be getting to the point where either one will be slowed down by an elk's shoulder to the point that it might not exit. But my money is on the accubond for a higher likelihood of a blood trail.
