You didn't ask for alternatives so pardon my intrusion but I'd also consider the 160 gr Federal Trophy Bonded Tip. It has a BC similar to the AB, is bonded, expands down to 1400 ft/sec (supposedly) and judging by pics, holds together at close distances, and retains most of its weight. I developed a load for these recently in my 280 AI using Re 23 at 2950. I expect they'll work on deer and elk <G>
