It is similar to Savage's early "A" style engraving pattern in the early 1900's. The engraver then was Enoch Tue.
This rifle was engraved in the mid to late 1950's and the engraver was Siefried Rentzschke. Rentzschke also engraved Colt, S&W and Winchesters as well either as an independent or while he was at A.A. White & Co.
