What happened???

She had a very serious bleed in upper section of colon. GI doc said when he got to it, li looked like someone squeezing an orange. It was up right next to where small intestine joins. Also appears we called 911 just at the right time. As she would have probably bled out if we had waited very much longer. Looks like this is something that happens to some VAD patients after years of anti-coagulate drugs. She has been on coumadin for years. We monitor her INR count weekly from the house.

Just one more thing we have to keep an eye on now.
