Consistent success... even on years like last Fall when lots of guides went home empty handed(including a surprisingly large amount of the lodge tag holders) we find mature bulls when others don’t. We don’t road hunt. All of our guides are experienced callers and have experience quartering and caping moose. Its mind blowing how many guides in Maine have little experience quartering moose and even rarer to find guides in Maine that can cape a moose off the skull in the field. You’d think this would be a requirement to hold a guides license, but you will find few guides with that knowledge. Some things to consider selecting a guide if drawn or purchasing an auction permit.
