For a long time it was a 1917 Enfield in 30-06 cut down into a carbine with a Lyman receiver sight shooting 220 RN in the Mn north country.

After cataract surgery a Sav. 99 in 308 cut to 16" with a Weaver K-1.5 and 180gr RN's best day was 4 deer still hunting northern WI, I've since given it to my nephew. It has been replaced by a Sav. 99 in 375 Win Leupold 1-4x20mm for still hunting and a Savage 11 in 25-204(100gr Partitionat 2800+fps) with an Elite 4200 2.5-10x40mm for stands and more open country.

I do have a JP Sauer Drilling in 16ga/16ga/7x57R with a 6x42 Nichols scope and a Weaver K-1.5 in a low mount that will go on my next deer hunt.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.
