. I do know some folks who had the 10/22Ms, and yes, they went KABOOM every now and then, including one that was all dolled up with a custom stock and barrel. Luckily, his granddaughter, who was shooting it that day, didn't get hurt, but it sure spooked her.

You probably already know this, but I thought it might be a good idea to post it anyway.


I've had a 10/22Mag since back when they were being sold, but it's been shot hardly at all. I remember hearing they had problems with those guns but don't remember the specifics. What was the flaw, why was it discontinued?
