I am in the process of installing a Leu 2.5x 20 FX2 scope on a 336. I am using the Ashley Performance base because it allows the scope to be mounted as low as possible on the receiver. I also allows forward mounting freeing up the access to the hammer.
Would be very interested in your experiences with that mount and optic.
