I like your rifle, not so much the scale.

Back in 2004 I bought 2 Model Seven youth rifles in 243 from guys on this site for the actions. They sat around gathering dust for several years before I got around to installing Remington 700 Classic barrels on them in 250 and 300 Savage. i cut the barrels back to 21" and glass bedded the barreled actions in factory walnut stocks, the style with the schnabeled forearm tip, and installed old Leupold Vari-X IIc 2-7x28 scopes on them with even older Leupold Detacho-Mounts. I d&t'd a second hole in the rear receiver bridge for the 2-piece base. They are a matched pair and I like them, but don't find occasion to shoot them often. I think that the Model Seven CDL stocks look nicer, 'cause the schnabel on the Model Seven stocks is too big and not nearly as attractive as the schnabel on the Winchester 70 Feathrweights. To my eyes, that is what a schnabeled forearm tip should look like in both size and shape.
