By definition, "tithe" is 10% of your gross income. When you are unemployed (zero income), 10% of zero is zero. All churches and religious organizations are going to take a double hit during this period. Many small churches were already dealing with declining attendance and declining giving. Then add in the reduced giving due to the doors being closed and parshioners being laid off / unemployed.

God has blessed our little church with very conservative leadership. As a result, we have approximately a 6 months of financial buffer. Unfortunately, many other small churches are not in such a position to weather the storm. When I see large affluent churches like the above video that have not properly prepared, I just shake my head...
