For my heavy work I went Ram with the Cummins. One look under the hood of the Ford scared me, what a quagmire of hoses etc.... I can actually see the engine on my Ram.
Much of that quagmire is due to the reversed exhaust flow coming out the top and greatly shortening the distance exhaust must travel to spool up the turbo. That said, throttle response is "gas-like" as a result.
