Won’t happen, but if the US would bring back home 30% of its manufacturing from China, it would be a good signaling to the world that we are done with them.

Yes, we DO need to return manufacturing capability to the US, even though it will cost more. We out-sourced too much in the name of less expensive goods and lost control over our supply lines.
