I actually had a fellow campfire member look at a wheeler a few states over from me to see if a machine was worth buying, it was a 2009 for about $3800. Very kind of him to step up for me..
I bought the machine after his thorough inspection and his listening to it run. Turns out he knew the guy selling it.
Got it shipped to me here in Idaho with a shipping co. and fired it up.........instantly knew it had a horrific rod knock. The engine was total chit. Brutal.
Moral of the story: look at stuff yourself or make sure your buddy can actually hear a problem.
