It says they are largely disconnected from reality. They voted for the "Shiny Pony". In a lot of cases, they are "party" voters who would vote Liberal if they ran a cocker spaniel (Some would say, that was proven in the last elections).
The next conservative candidate has to have the fortitude to stand on a conservative platform and convince the voters that is in the best interest of the nation (which it is) GD
