I was in Yakima, Wa. when it went off. Lots of ash, complete blackout for the day.
I was thirty miles away in Sunnyside. We could see the edge of the cloud but that didn't keep us from being dumped on. I can still see that big black cloud coming down.
I could wish a lot of things on my worst enemy but neuropathy ain't one of them.
