Bought one Fat Max tape measure and found it folds like a cheap hooker. Much prefer my old Stanleys.

Vintage American wrenches and sockets can be found at pawn shops by the bucket. Build your own sets. Also yard sales. Couple years ago I bought a bucket of ratchets and extensions in 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" for less than $20. Threw three away that had no warranty, Sears replaced 2, and ended up with a dozen and a half good vintage ratchets, plus many extensions. Still haven't made it to a pawn shop myself to complete some sets. And the best part, NO PACKAGING!
