I long for them good ole' days when Heckler & Koch, CZ, Walther,....came in regular box, test target at certain range with certain ammo often signed by the tester. Now people have to fire couple hundred just to see if the gun is reliable. The Masses will accept anything!
The masses vote with their wallet and manufacturers respond accordingly.
