The amazing thing to me, is that as badly as the Japanese Americans were treated, being confined in poverty conditions. And to be honest, many Americans lived in similar poverty conditions in 1942.

But still, after being rounded up, locked into confinement with armed guards, and their properties and cash accounts seized. Still, many young Japanese/American men were patriotic enough to join American Armed Services.

I do not know that I could have been so forgiving.
