Y'all ought to see the truck drivers. Every truck stop, like Pilot or Flying J, has 3 huge coffee pots. Big 5 gallon pots with Hawaiian Kona, or Jamaican roast, whatever. High caffeine coffee.
And the drivers come in there with a huge coffee mug, big insulated mug that holds 44 ounces. And they fill 'er up. That is what they are going to drink on this day, 5 or 6 regular cups of coffee. Good for keeping awake out on the road on a 14 hour shift.
Pretty sure I would be dead without it.
Tried the road dope they sold at the truckstops back in the day.
Pseduoephidren, mostly. Good doses.
That scared the schitzz out of me.
Sitting in the truck for hours, ain't done nothing but hold the wheel
and shift gears. Heart racing, breathing hard.
Even I knew that couldn't be good for you.
So coffee, large doses. Sugar treats if necessary.
Heck it kept me alive.
But I would be dead anyway if I had kept running like that!
