For starters, he's pretty ham-fisted in handling the boxes an the frames. And rolling a lot of bees, he's spreading attack pheromones like crazy. His gloves must suck.
And I'm drawing a blank on why he doesn't know for sure if the queen is marked. If he did the split right, he should know, and she shouldn't be.
