Call Doc, and ask him to write a prescrip for you, for a 5 day steroid pack, where you take 5 pills the first day, and graduate down to 1 pill the last day, 5-4-3-2-1. That’ll knock down the inflammation, and get the pain to go away.

Good chance you bulged a disc, but hopefully didn’t rupture it. Non-knife happy Orthopedics will tell you, if you can walk, you don’t need cutting on.

If you don’t have shooting pain down your leg from the Sciatic nerve right now, you just need to “rest it”, and I mean “rest” it, not rush it back to work., or you’ll be right back down on the floor, and immobile.

Don’t even think about playing golf for a year or two, or you’ll be taking a chance of reinjuring it, from twisting your upper torso in the golf swing, and you’ll go straight to your knees after thinking someone shoved a knife in your back.

Inversion tables do stretch out your spine, and allow the disc to stop pressing on the nerve and allow the disc to relax, and go back to it’s normal position, but if you have high blood pressure, might want to ask Doc about that before trying it, but you can use one in a slight inversion just below level too. You don’t have to go full vertical or 45 degree either for them to work.

Check your PM box.
